Well hello again. Nice to see you.
I am especially happy today because our house is all decked out for Christmas and nothing makes me happier than coming down the stairs in the morning and seeing the tree all lit up!
I thought it would be fun to share all my holiday decorating this year. So let’s begin in the family room.
The stockings were hung from the chimney with care…
I made these stockings years ago. I designed all the patterns by hand then used tacky glue to glue all the little felt pieces on.
My sewing skills have greatly improved since then but the kids will never let me make new ones because they are all so attached.
Our family gets a real tree every year but we cut down our own for the first time ever. The first couple of days it smelled amazing.
The kids LOVE the train.
We have lots of traditions that center around decorating the tree, but the first thing we do every year (after stringing the lights) is to find the perfect spot for our butterfly cave.
And here are a few more of my favorite ornaments… The puffy snowballs from England.
The glass Cinderella ornaments that my Uncle Jim gave to me in High School.
Sparkly snowflakes.
12 days of Christmas ornaments from The Land of Nod.
Yoda asking Cinderella to Dance.
The Woodland Creature Ornaments I made a few years back.
And these little gift toppers/ornaments that I made last year.
And to round things out, a few throw pillows from Target.
And that’s the family room all ready to host 20 people this year. Seriously. I think we might be crazy.
Come back tomorrow to see more rooms decorated for the holidays. Merry Christmas!
