One more week until the final reveal!!!! Eeeeek! I have had so much fun redecorating Emma’s room but I am EXHAUSTED and I will be so happy to finally have it complete.
This week has been filled with lots of little decisions about the final decorating touches. I began styling the Mid Century Hutch from last week. I must have restyled this at least 5 times but I am finally happy with how it turned out. I used my favorite styling trick and covered most of the books with wrapping paper to keep the color pallet cohesive.
I also added several “black apple dolls” that I made a few years back because I never tire of their cuteness. And see that cute little fox Emma made in art class last year?
I painted this “life is sweet” sign last week and it ties the room’s theme together nicely.
I also took samples of my own designs and sewed them into a bunting to hang over the bed. I was originally going to put the fabric in embroidery hoops to hang on the wall but I absolutely LOVE the bunting!
And lastly I framed a couple of my own water color paintings. There is something so satisfying about seeing them all framed and up on the wall!
I still love this little mint chocolate chip one…
And now, I am down to the wire. For the finishing touches I need to hang the light fixture, paint one more painting and tackle the huge task of photographing and editing all the photos. Oh, and write the blog post 😉
