I made a few updates to our breakfast nook/eat-in kitchen this week and I love how it pulled the space together.
First up, was this fiddly fig from Bachman’s.
I just pray that I can keep this beauty alive! I am completely craving green this time of year and this fiddly fig has been filling the void.
The second thing I added was three little watercolor paintings under our transom window.
I have been playing around a lot with watercolors lately and decided we needed a little fruit and veg 🙂
Next to the water colors sits two homework clipboards for Isaac and Emma.
I have a hard time keeping track of papers especially things like spelling words or fluency work. So Isaac and Emma each have their own little clipboard to keep homework they are working on throughout the week.
And on the opposite wall, next to the fiddly fig, we have our Family Home Evening Chart.
Every Monday night we have Family Home Evening. It is a time when we have a little lesson, eat a treat and play games together. Each person in the family has a job for FHE and we rotate jobs each week. To keep track of who does what I made this little chart. (I would be happy to do a tutorial if anyone is interested.)
And just a few more pretty pictures of this sun filled room…
