Hooray!!! Today is the big day! The final reveal for the Primp and Pamper bathroom makeover! From tackling power tools (DIY Board and Batten) to designing my very own wallpaper this project has been one crazy roller coaster ride.
Through all the ups and downs I am pleased to say that I am over the moon excited with the end result. So come on in and take a look at my new bathroom!
Even though the board and batten gave me a bit of trouble (read more about that here) I am so incredibly happy that I pushed through and completed it. It ties the whole space together and adds the perfect balance to my bright and bold floral wallpaper.
You may have noticed that the green mirror is different than the one I had originally planned. I had a beautiful vintage mirror that I was going to use, but once the new light fixture was up the mirror was just a tad too big for the space. It really was a sad day, especially since I had to scramble to find a new one in time. Luckily I found a new mirror in the nick of time and spray painted it green. I think the green frame keeps things interesting while the simple shape doesn’t distract from the true showstopper- the wallpaper!
Speaking of wallpaper, I am seriously in love! Did I mention that I designed this paper myself? It feels so satisfying to have something that is so perfectly Tessie. To read more about the design process you can read this post.
Because my husband loves me he agreed to put up my new light fixture from CB2. It was one of the easiest light fixtures we have installed and I love the modern feel it adds to the room.
I added a few small accessories to pull the space together like a new soap dispenser from Target and a pretty succulent from Home Depot.
I painted the board and batten the same color as our trim and vanity (Dover White by Sherwin Williams). I love the seamless transition it created.
Now for everyone’s favorite part… the before and afters!
