Today I’m taking you inside my art studio and sharing my favorite art supplies! Pull up a chair at my painting table and let’s explore Acryla Gouache and my go-to paint brushes.
I find painting to be extremely meditative. I usually paint in silence and love the rhythm of the brush and the spread of colors across a page.
Painting clears my mind and helps me feel more centered. If you haven’t painted before, or if it’s been a while… you should absolutely jump back in. Watch the video below to learn more about my painting practice.

My Favorite Art Supplies
- My Painting Table – a small dining room table from Target. It’s sturdy, easy to clean, and the perfect size to spread out.
- Holbein Acryla Gouache Paint – My favorite paint of all time. I love the gorgeous colors, the matte finish, and the ability to layer. See all the gorgeous colors at BLICK.
- Paint Brushes from the Pigeon Letters – I’ve tried MANY brushes over the years and I come back to these EVERY time.
- Hot Press Watercolor Paper – This brand is one of my favorites, but I tend to use lots of different types.
- Paint Palette: Mine is custom-made by Krista Coons at Her Name is Mud, but you can find many handmade palettes on ETSY.
- Light Pad by Artograph – A small but simple tool that’s great for tracing.
Happy Painting!
