Last spring I started redecorating Emma’s room. There are still a few finishing touches I would like to add, but I thought I would share the progress so far….
When it came time to paint there was no question what color this 4 year old girl wanted…. pink, pink, pink! Pink can be a tricky color to pick out, but I absolutely adore the shade we chose. It is Powder Blush by Benjamin Moore. It is the perfect “little girl pink”, not too bright and not too bubblegum.
Love this print above her bed!
the lamp…
the curtains….
butterfly mobile…
and glass knobs…
The rest of her room is filled with lots of little handmade details like her sweet little dolls.
And hand made pillow…
This little pillow is one of my favorite things in the entire room! I embroidered the sweet little dress from a pattern from Sarah Jane Studios. Then I sewed it into a throw pillow.
I love the floral print on the front and the stripes on the back.
On the opposite wall from the bed you will find the polka dot couch and a series of prints from Sarah Jane Studios. I discovered her work about a year ago and fell in love! Her prints are so beautiful and so perfectly capture the innocence of childhood!
I had these small square frames laying around for a while. I spray painted 4 of them antique white then covered the others with fabrics from the Riley Blake “Marguerite” line.
In this small skinny place between the two doors, I hung these four little applique pictures that I made for Emma while I was pregnant.
And no little girl’s room is complete without a chandelier….
And just for fun, here are the before and after shots…

TESS! Please come at your earliest convenience to redecorate my entire house. Thank you.
Also I have some chairs that need your re-covering expertise ASAP. Call me?? You're a genius.
So darling! I love it! And I'm not showing it to my girls because that would just be too depressing for them. 😉
Spiffiness!
We're currently re-doing two rooms for Lady Elders… we're supposed to be done in a month. Ya wanna come strip wallpaper?

Hi, I'm popping over from Sarah Jane Studios. The framed pictures are beautiful! Could you share how you did them?
Popping over from Sarah Jane's! The room is stunning. So sweet! Your girl will love it there!
I would be happy to do a tutorial on the framed pictures. I will try to get that up next week!
