Come inside my art studio and take a tour of the basement! I know… kind of crazy that it even has a basement, but it’s a pretty incredible creative space. Watch the video below for the full tour.
Before:
When we first moved in it was a hole in the floor with a piece of plywood over the top. It was dark, scary, and looked like a place to keep the dead bodies 🙈
Scary right???
After:
During the office renovation, we added a trap door, and a ladder, sealed the walls, and added lighting! Now it serves as a place to store fabric, sew, and get MESSY.
Much better!
My husband, CJ, built this incredible pegboard for fabric and wrapping paper storage. You can see the full post about this project here.
Under the pegboard is my sewing desk 🙂
The corner of the basement is filled with water pipes and the septic system. I added giant tissue paper flowers to make it a bit prettier to look at.
Wire shelves create a great storage area with room to spare.
This glass and metal vintage cabinet is the perfect storage solution for my empty boxes and various shipping supplies.
Storage cubbies store extra fabric and many craft supplies!
I added a fun mirror to the space as well 🙂
The giant table in the center of the room is counter height so it’s perfect for cutting fabric and spreading out with larger projects.
