Come on in and have a seat in my hot pink chair! It’s the place where I relax, read, work on my laptop, and curl up with a cup of tea and a blanket.
Before
Here’s what this area looked like when we first moved in. Drab curtains on the walls and too much furniture stuffed into a small space.
After
And here’s the AFTER!!! With lots of natural light pouring in, this has turned into one of my favorite spots to relax.
I rearranged the furniture to give the chair a bit more breathing room and updated the curtains with my favorite navy blackout curtains from Overstock.
Then I added some GORGEOUS artwork! This original oil paining by Kristin Cronic was the first time I’d bought a “real” piece of art. I was worried about spending so much on an “original”, but I’m so happy I took the leap! It matches the pink chair PERFECTLY and it brings such joy and richness to the space.
After that, I added two quirky art prints from Janet Hill Studio. They fit the empty window spaces perfectly and added a sense of whimsy.
To finish the space off, I added this FABULOUS side table from Anthropologie. I love how unusual the shape is. It does it’s job while still being delicate and opinionated 🙂
I think the reason I’m so drawn to this space is I feel like it perfectly reflects me 🙂 Have you ever created a space like that?
It truly is a magical feeling ✨
